Our story.
We are a congregation of the Churches of Christ in the Dominican Republic.
A brief look
at our history.
The Church of Christ in Gazcue began in 1983 with Harold Oscar Paden (HOP), Alan McAfee, and the married couple Dulce and John Cloward.
As the years passed, the Lord added more brothers and sisters to the church, creating a need for larger gathering spaces. The congregation met in rented venues until it acquired the land where the church now stands.
As our founding members moved away, new leaders emerged to help the church continue to develop and grow. Today, the church has a leadership team of deacons and evangelists who serve in its different ministries.
Our roots
Stanley Morgan starts the Churches of Christ in the Dominican Republic. The first congregation would become known as Villa Consuelo.
A new family
A group from Villa Consuelo begins a new congregation in the Cloward family home in La Agüedita, Gazcue.
Serving together
The congregation appoints its first deacons.
A home in Gazcue
The Church of Christ in Gazcue inaugurates its building at 6 Caonabo Street.

God has called us to please Him above all, even above any human opinion. That is why we focus on the serious study of the Bible, apart from human theologies, creeds, dogmas, religious decrees or opinions.
